Job Training Resources
Individuals interested in working on the project need to prepare now by acquiring the construction skills necessary to build the Next NGA West.
A certain percentage of minority participation is federally required for this project. Federal contracts require Department of Labor goals for participation of women 6.9% and minorities 14.7% per trade. This means those percentage goals are applied to each trade: operators, carpenters, electricians, pipe fitters, etc.
Veterans also have a number of programs available to assist with employment opportunities. The St. Louis Building Construction Trades Council has a program called Helmets to Hardhats that connects quality men and women from the Armed Forces with building and construction careers.
