NGA chief 'confident' city will ensure debris storage near school meets public health requirements

The chief of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency spoke to Mayor Lyda Krewson last week about concerns surrounding the storage of demolition debris next to Gateway Elementary and middle school campus.

A statement the NGA released Friday marked the first time the agency has weighed in on anxiety among some residents and parents that debris from the site of NGA’s future north St. Louis campus might have contributed to respiratory issues at the nearby public schools.
